Apologies for long post. Bit in bold is all you need to read

So given that autistics are often bullied I was considering whether we have apps which can record when triggered by voice activation or maybe a bluetooth device. The data would then need to be uploaded to cloud storage such as drive or dropbox or better yet a shared storage system manned by a responsible adult. The individual then warns bullies of the above. How well would that work?

An autistic child could then respond to potential bullies that they are being recorded (audio or video) and the data has been uploaded to ....... destroying the phone will only result in criminal action being taken. Demands to access the drive could be problematic I guess but if the account is monitored by another external individual you can point out that trying to force the information out will be pointless as it may have been observed. "Face it this is just not worth the potential hassle"

With the usual tech you cant prevent the attack because the phone will simply be destroyed if you present a warning. Hidden cameras are also not wise because a tech savvy bully might just search the individual anyway.

This would prevent a great deal of nastiness imo.

I can even envisage a scenario where a trigger word places high priority on the recording alerting the monitor and sending to their inbox or multiple inboxes should the bullies decide to brave the risk anyway.

This is probably pointless anyway as a simple recording pen could be claimed to have upload facility. "This hidden camera uploads straight to....". That would work equally well

How well would such a technology work and what potential problems could arise? Recording children is obviously a problem, unless audio only is selected. This would work for adults but in the schoolyard, the parents of a bully could easily stir something up I imagine.
