I found a Pokemon message board and talked about red and blue and was told that was a rant and my topic was closed. (Chose to NOT use that fan board and chose another site). NOW I've had a few back and forth things but today was odd! I started discussing the leveling system in the Pokemon games and was told the topic was closed and make a blog post. (I'm not online to talk about my life daily!! !!) I'm on a Pokemon forum to talk about the Pokemon games/show Pokemon overall. The leveling system COULD have been open to discussion if the topic wasn't so quickly closed!! !

A Psychology board (namesake for a reason WP). I got some rude comment (forgot what now.) Sure no offense WP has moved around some of my topics rightfully so and I was OCD making topics on Avatar LOL! otherwise I rant and talk about issues and don't get topics closed/canceled!! !!

Makes me not WANT to find like people online! Into Pokemon games I say some rant or something that gets no reply. HELL you can't even make multiple trade topics just ONE HUGE one which is IMO stupid since you may want different Pokemon at different times. Your huge list of 20 Pokemon I don't see all the time vs. a new topic of "Hey I want a Pikachu for trade!" I'd think Hey let me help you out with that vs. looking through a list of 20 pokemon you want to trade. Help as you go along not one big list!! !! !

How would a Potter or Doctor Who board go? Same way? My topics on them getting closed left and right?! !! !

Found a local Orlando Universal/theme park board which is AWESOME they've changed some topic titles and moved around my posts otherwise I've been commented on thinking outside the box on topics. (Such as what souvenir you'd want like fantasy dream souvenir made thingy). Stuff like that.

Otherwise with the Pokemon issues above and Psychology getting to the point I'm not welcome online outside WP.

Unfortunately the internet can be like that. People are jerks in real life. People are even bigger jerks on the internet.

I've done a lot of searching and posting on different forums and my personal experience is that you will not find any forum that is as accepting and tolerant as WP. Unfortunately, in the vast majority of other forums, the conversations always devolve into either trying to be wittier than other people/see who can make the funniest comment (Reddit) or outright making fun of others (GaiaOnline, too many others to count).

Also, I tend to avoid people who are in the same fandoms as me because usually they tend to be snobs and/or disagree with me on key issues (such as shipping, dubs vs. subs, whether certain characters are actually good or evil, etc.). Honestly I think that snobbery is the most likely reason why your topics kept getting locked in that Pokemon forum. As with Smash Bros, it's a fun game that gets ruined by people who take it way too seriously. If memory serves me correctly, I read a fan theory somewhere that in the Pokemon Diamond & Pearl anime, the character Paul was meant to represent people who took the games too seriously (such as with the IV training among other stuff).

I find WP to be one of the better forums. It's natural for topics to get closed or moved though to make sure that your post either reaches the right audience or doesn't violate the terms of the particular site. Remember that just because a site is about Pokemon doesn't necessarily mean that a particular discussion aligns with the terms of the site especially if it is a site that children will also probably access. Just be mindful that not all forums are alike or have the same degree of moderation and some take the terms of the site VERY seriously.

can relate to the original topic as have never felt welcome anywhere have gone, have been shunned off many disability and autism specific related forums because people do not understand LFA,and have been severely long term groomed, stalked across the net, threatened and cyber bullied directly for being LFA by a member from WP [which resulted in getting detained in a intelectual disability hospital for four months and losing a long time residential home placement].

the most tolerant and understanding community have personaly found is the transgender community although another member here has recently said how it was the worst community for them.

Suggest you read the book "How to Win Friend and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, which could probably have a sub-title of "How People on the Spectrum Might Not Piss People Off So Much."

One of Dale's biggest points is "Try to see the issue from the other person's point of view". When in a live conversation, that can be pretty hard for us, but on a forum, you can spend all the time in the world coming up with a reply --- or ---- and I have done this many times ----- type something up, get all that steam out, then just delete what I did and go back to whatever I was doing before I got myself so worked up.

If you are getting banned, you are doing something. You, that is, we, have a handicap in not noticing we are annoying people. Its just the way things are. But try to go over it and figure out if you said anything that might have offended. It also could be the other person is an a$$hole or a troll, and you might not ever figure it out. You might have to accept that you will have to spend alot more time thinking about what you did than an NT has to.
