You're welcome to participate and/or let others know about an online study I, an autistic researcher, contributed to on conceptions of autism. It's the first that we know of to compare autistic and non-autistic people's knowledge of autism. I think non-autistic's knowledge about being autistic is a lot like a man's knowledge about being a woman.

I social worker [an army reservist] I met in the army had me pegged within a few minutes that I had strong autistic traits.

I wish there was a way to see the world the same way as an NT does and vise-versa. but I don't think that's possible. If you are born autistic, you will live with it all the time of your life until you die. an NT cannot become autistic ether.
