I took this test by Simon Baron-Cohen

and have taken some autism screening tests, which suggested strongly that I am on the spectrum.
My scores for empathizing and systemizing were 16 and 10 respectively, both of which are considered low.
I am very confused about these results.
Has anyone else gotten something similar?

Are there people on the autism spectrum who don't have a high level of systemizing?? It seems like categorizing/organizing/structure etc. is a primary characteristic. My lack of such organization seems to point me away from an autism diagnosis, but I really don't feel neurotypical.

Thanks!

My EQ score was 11/80 and my SQ score was 130/150.

I haven't read of both scores being low. Perhaps the University of Cambridge Autism Research Centre researchers didn't consider the possibility. They write extensively about how the two tests are "inversely correlated" and, therefore, the presumption is that test subjects who have AS or ASD would score low on the EQ test and score high one the SQ test, or vice versa among those subjest who don't have AS or ASD.

There are sex differences in how subjects will likely score, and the ASC research into the mind and brain, including its E-S theory suggest boundaries between subjects with AS or ASD, and their scores.

So, I am a little confused with your scores.

Low E and low S is probably common pattern in population, like introverts who are not obsessed with numbers and trains.
