This couldnt be a more clear example of our eye contact situation i dont think.

My wife has just started taxi-ing in our quiet little town and took great pleasure in saying how she would encourage shoppers to come to her taxi (and thus earn more money) as they came out the shop by looking them in the eye or making some kind of eye contact......I replied by saying that that is the last thing i would ever do, the thought just makes me feel sick. I realised at that point just how much an individual i really am.

If a male taxi driver was 'eye-ing' me, then I'd probably freak out. I'd quicker think that he was up to something or had something other than a fare on his mind.

Maybe that's why I don't like taxis.

If i werent a taxi driver i would NEVER use a taxi......i think i must be on the wrong planet
