Do people ever tell you that you ask a lot of questions, or that you ask too many questions? This has happened to me. I find that this happens often in groups when an instructor or group leader asks: "does anyone have any questions?" Apparently I always end up as the guy who "always has a question."

I ask random questions about whatever pops in my head. My mom gets mad at me because she thinks I expect her to know everything. I just have endless curiosity about things.

Yup. It got to the point where staff working with me in mental health services would introduce me to new staff with the warning 'asks a lot of questions'.

I also ask a ton of questions daily, people are often set back by my frequent questions.

This happens in environments where I have been expected to absorb large amounts of verbalised detail. School classes, lectures, extended meetings at work, those messy collaborative discussions between multiple people with limited social etiquette and so on.

I find I have to ask a lot of questions because I really didn't get the full picture.

A second reason for asking a lot of questions is that I'm generally not happy with what I perceive as the very superficial understanding that most people appear happy with. Even if I haven't had to deal with any of the difficult situations I listed above I find I need to clarify things.

I also find myself initiating discussions with others to clarify the meaning and implications of the various socio-political/community affairs at the office and in the wider company.
