What if people with autism, and people who are NT lived on 2 different planets that were like earth?
I know there are many people with autism, but I think people with autism understand autistic people better than NTs understand autistic people because NTs don't know how they have autism.
I think the autistic planet would thrive better because there wouldn't be a basis for stigmatizing, calling someone a ret*d, etc. where NT has their issues, such as having instincts to do destructive things, conforming to our controlling government. I think AS does it better.
Let me know your opinion.
there are many of us who are elsewhere on the spectrum [classic autism, PDDNOS/atypical, CDD etc] ,so theres no possibility of a split between NT and AS, a split between NT and ASD however is different.
however, those of us who are reliant on care staff woud not be able to live on such a split;we relie on NTs to support us in our daily lives.
as for the idea that autistics are less abusive, that isnt true;the word 'ret*d' is flung around WP regulary to call someone NT an idiot;those of us diagnosed with intelectual disability are not idiots and we dont deserve to be compared to people who have been behaving like diks or something else the poster doesnt like.
just because someone has a tougher life doesnt mean theyre going to be well behaved and open minded.
