Hi, folks. I wrote an essay about my discovery that I had AS. I don't mean to brag, but it is a good essay. I would like to try to get it published. So far I've tried one mainstream newspaper and one mainstream magazine, but they weren't interested. Then I looked up magazines about autism, and there are many, but they only want clinical articles written by doctors.

Can anyone suggest any publications where I could try sending my essay? Thanks.

I would love to read it. Would you willing to share it with us? You could try Reader's Digest if they are still around. I would also try Parent's Magazine.

Autism Asperger's Digest http://www.autismdigest.com/ might accept it.

Hi, Ralph. Thank you for your interest. I would like to share my essay, but to be on the safe side I would like to try getting it published first and then I can post a link to it. No offense; I'm not saying anyone here would plagiarize it but nowadays you have to be crazy careful with this kind of thing. Thank you for the suggestions about RD and PM; I'll check them out! -- higgie
