Not sure if there's already a thread like this so apologies if there is. But there is a lot of negative stuff out there so I thought it would be nice to have a collection of positive things about relatives/friends or people you work with asd (whether it's connected to that or not).
I'll start with a few things about my amazing son.

1) He is very intelligent
2) He is lots of fun to spend time with
3) I don't need to write a shopping list if he is coming with me
5) He's very honest
6) He is contagiously enthusiastic about things he likes

And obviously he is the cutest most amazing boy that has ever been born!

There are a lot more things I could add but I'd love to read what other people have to say.

I'll just limit my list of traits to the one son of mine that most on here have heard quite a bit about. My 20 year old.

His compassion. His empathy. His loyalty. His ability to forgive. His magic with animals. His magic with Autistic kids and other picked on children. His humility. His total lack of conceit though he is told almost every day that he looks like a young Orlano Bloom, or Jim Morrison, or a combination of the two. His need for integrity and fairness. His love for the homeless. when he first became ill we were told that he would inevitably take his life because of the pain. We begged him to hang on. So far he has and I am proud of him for that, though when and if he does end his life, though devastated, I will understand and be proud and thankful for how long he tried.

this is the main board that autistics themselves post on as oposed to the parents board where the majority are NT parents, autistic parents or other relatives, will not get a lot of answers on the GAD board if are just looking for posts from knowing other autistics.

if were to ask what positive traits members like about themselves woud probably get a lot more answers.

Posts about things members like about themselves are also more than welcome. Would be great to hear your list!

I can be myself around them because they're also being themselves.
