How is a flat face on a girl interpreted by NT's, by flat I mean entirely relaxed blank eyes and straight lips.

If it's perfectly neutral, it can be perceived as corpse-like, giving the "Uncanny Valley" effect. If, however, the natural curve of the lips turns down and the eyebrows tend to come to together, it can cause all the problems of "bitchy resting face".

It could be mistaken as a lack of interest. Depends on the circumstances though. You might get people telling you to cheer up because they think a lack of a smile means you're sad.

I have flat affect and I often get told to cheer up or smile by strangers, so I guess it looks sad. I don't understand how it's different from other people's neutral or resting face though. Most people don't walk around smiling all the time.

when they tell you to cheer up, tell them "i'm sorry - i just washed my face, and i can't do a thing with it". they will laugh and think better of you. if you are dealing with repeat offenders, respond like that all the time, and they should soon give up.
