Hi all, I'm a new member with ADHD-Inattentive and Executive Functions Disorder. I also was dx'd with Nonverbal Learning Disorder at 14, I took a re-evaluation in January and although they dropped my NLD diagnosis my scores were all over the place...anyone know what this might mean?

Verbal Comprehension
Similarities-18
Vocabulary-13
Information-16
Comprehension-16 (supplemental)

Working Memory
Digit Span-14
Arithmetic-13

Perceptual Reasoning
Block Design-7
Visual Puzzles-7
Matrix Reasoning-16
Figure Weights-16 (supplemental)

Processing Speed
Symbol Search-10
Coding-8

VCI: 134
WMI: 119
PRI: 100
PSI: 94
FSIQ: 115

The Perceptual Reasoning gap is what's confusing me. A 34 point gap between VCI and PRI screams Nonverbal Learning Disorder, but how come the Matrix Reasoning and Figure Weights are strong but the Block Design and Visual Puzzles are so low? That's like a 3 SD gap! I made this a topic a while ago but didn't get many replies...if someone could help that would be great lol

My guess who would be as good as anyones is that your weakness is in imaginative reasoning, Figure Weights and Matrix Reasoning can be verbalised.

Simply try do observe your thoughts on how you solve this tests.

That makes sense. When I solved the Matrix Reasoning and Figure Weights I did verbalize, but only to help me concentrate and stay on task so it wasn't like I had to talk myself through the whole thing, I kind of do the same in Math, I make a bunch of nonsense squiggles that doesn't make sense to anyone watching, but it represents something to me in the moment and keeps me on track I guess. The doc's main reason for thinking I didn't have NLD was because I performed strongly on measures of pragmatic language like figures of speech, etc.

As for the Block Design, I got really puzzled. It was like I knew how to do it, but I couldn't organize the blocks properly even though the task seemed so simple. On Visual Puzzles I couldn't really rotate the objects in my head. According to the report I have strong "logical-analytical reasoning ability" based on my MR-FW scores but have a "Production Disorder" in that I can reason well but don't see all the steps necessary to execute tasks. Thank you for your response!
