That makes sense. When I solved the Matrix Reasoning and Figure Weights I did verbalize, but only to help me concentrate and stay on task so it wasn't like I had to talk myself through the whole thing, I kind of do the same in Math, I make a bunch of nonsense squiggles that doesn't make sense to anyone watching, but it represents something to me in the moment and keeps me on track I guess. The doc's main reason for thinking I didn't have NLD was because I performed strongly on measures of pragmatic language like figures of speech, etc.
As for the Block Design, I got really puzzled. It was like I knew how to do it, but I couldn't organize the blocks properly even though the task seemed so simple. On Visual Puzzles I couldn't really rotate the objects in my head. According to the report I have strong "logical-analytical reasoning ability" based on my MR-FW scores but have a "Production Disorder" in that I can reason well but don't see all the steps necessary to execute tasks.
