Blood Tests?

I finally approached my GP about my suspected Aspergers, and she said that it would be a process of several interviews, and a blood test. What is the purpose of the test? Is there some kind of marker that aspies have or what?

So no, there is currently no blood test or marker that can be used to diagnose Asperger's or ASD. The blood test is to rule out other possibilities besides ASD.

So what could they find from blood that would suggest something else?

Well, they could check your testosterone levels if you are male to determine if sluggishness and general apathy is due to a deficiency.

They could also be checking to see if you have any surpluses of metals in your body. Heavy Metal Poisoning can do all sorts of nasty things to your body.

Another thing as well, they may be screening for any other hormonal imbalance. It depends on how detailed the panel is that they're drawing.
