I've been tossing and turning since childhood, but the last couple of years, I've been worse. Every time I law in my bed, even if it's just to relax with a book and not sleep, I end up with my mattress cover and fitted sheet ripped off, as well as my comforter(s) and sheets, pillows completely off the bed.

My mother agrees that I've been tossing and turning more now than before, and that she even hears my headboard slamming into the wall at night because I move so much. She also says that my limbs jerk and I exhibit non-voluntary movements. I think it's hypnagogic jerks.

What do you guys think? Could it be related to my Asperger's?

Well I thought I toss and turn a lot as I'm a restless sleeper, but not compared to some other people I know, like my dad or my first son. My dad actually has built "bumpers" made of foam all around his bed (queen size) because he used to fall off a lot. He actually broke a toe and nearly cracked his head once.

I'm the exact opposite. I always wake up in almost exactly the same position I went to sleep in.
This is annoying because sometimes I sleep with my hand under my head and wake up with a numb hand.

You should Google the song "Tossin' and Turnin'" It was a number one song in 1961.
