According to my doctor, I have schizophrenic traits, but also Aspergers. I had a psychosis a long time ago, and he thinks that that the psychosis symptoms are still a part of me, but are suppressed while taking my medicine.

Does anyone here have schizophrenic traits like me?

Can you give some examples of what some are?

I had doctor tell me that I had schizophrenic traits, and I can see where the doctor might have gotten the idea. Then again, it was the same one who told me: "if you ever mention suicide again, I'll have you locked up in a mental institution". So I'm pretty sure the schizophrenia stuff is BS.

Well, they say it's because of the delusions and hallucinations that I had back then. I'm going to talk to the doctor soon so he can explain it all. (I haven't talked directly to him about this new diagnosis.)

After reading some by myself, I recognize a lot of other symptoms, like disorganized speech and thinking. I don't know the intensity that "real" schizophrenics have in their symptoms, but I can recognize a lot. I don't know really, these are just my own speculations.

I'm wondering about schizoaffective disorder more and more, because I'm starting to realize that there is a part of my "normal" spectrum of thought that could actually be considered delusion. My personality is not cohesive at all. I have unexplainable anxiety and paranoia to some degree ALL the time, and I'm never at equilibrium. I'm going to read a book on it and go from there. I don't think it's full blown schizophrenia, but I know from posting on this board that it's NOT all AS.

Are your 'delusions' an inventive logical type of delusion or are they 'felt'

-if it's invented delusions then your not schziphrenic - even though doctors think you should be.

-As for hallucinations... are they the type where you can see the red bands amongst the blue coming out of a light globe, or is the inventor of the light gloobe talking to you.... in the first case then again its not an hallucination, it's you thinking too hard.

-I pretended to be Napoleon to get myself admitted!
