At work the atmosphere is very noisy. People talking loudly, radio playing, ringtones on phones, etc. Every day I leave work ready to crawl out of my skin. I generally can not use headphones because I need to be able to hear what is going on outside of the office. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with sensory overload at work? My boss is extraordinarily sensitive to these problems and would be very accommodating to whatever I would need to try. I considered bringing my weighted blanket in, but its so giant and cumbersome to have to lug in everyday :/ Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated.

How nice that your boss is so supportive and accomodating! :) Have you ever tried listening to music through headphones/earbuds while you work? It might help distract you from the noise and chaos. And, what about getting an extra weighted blanket to keep at work? :) Hope this helps!

I wear earplugs and noise-cancelling headphones at uni. At home I wear industrial-grade ear defenders when the washing machine is running or if I'm hoovering. Perhaps you could try that.
