My doctor and I have decided it was best for me to do. I might go onto long-term disability and even end up on SSDI. (My therapist says when you're on long-term disability, the insurance company for it usually tries to help push you off onto SSDI.)

If you go on ssdi you ARE allowed to earn money when you can handle it as long as it stays under a certain amount.

I would be afraid to try a part time job on SSDI. They are going to figure if you are able to work why are you an disability. Then shoot you a disability review. I wouldn't take that chance

i am on SSDI and working part time for the past seven years. have had several disability reviews. always still come out as "disabled." my husband, same story times twenty years. please, please, please, don't be afraid to work under the limit, which is earning $1070 per month for 2014. it goes up every year with the COLA.

If I am not mistaking, I think they always do a review regardless if you're working or not.

Now that I'm on disability all I have left is myself. :(

I hope I can get more organized with my interests again so I don't just sit and brood and brood and brood.

This interest below has kept somewhat busy, a program I'm working on. But there is a lot to code to be written and a lot that can go wrong:

I hope you do to. I just have to root for a person who at age 6 tries to drive to The Weather Channel

Thanks for the reminder of that. :) BTW, I was 5 (or 5 and a half), not 6, when I tried.

Now I've finished the initial writing of the program, but it might not even compile! No! I had to use the goto statement as well to avoid a whole bunch of code duplication (which will make everybody hate me). I'm so afraid to test it out! No! Don't make me!

We equally panic about this in the UK with our ESA - so even avoid doing too much voluntary work.

I feel like saying a bunch of nonsense, which includes dirty words. I had that feeling all throughout my time in the grocery store today and I had to work to keep it suppressed. I get this silly feeling when it happens.
