The daggum email wasn't working so I was forced to take up extra minutes calling up a rep, which made me mad.

Our phone company outsourced their call centre to India. I'll just be poilte and say I don't like dealing with their new call centre.

The thing that drives me up the wall is when a phone rep or secretary answers the phone and they expect everybody in Canada to sound like carbon copies of each other.

I can kinda relate. I sent a heated email to customer relations at my bank yesterday. I was polite (Well, I considered it polite), but stressed my dissatisfaction in their recent web page redesign that made it impossible to find where to login to my account and instead bombarded me with information on opening a new account for x, y, and z. Went as far as saying the the new layout was a travesty, but I refrained from cursing. I'm assuming the email will be buried or ignored, but I still feel a bit foolish about sending it now. Just drives me nuts when people try to "fix something that isn't broken" and end up breaking it instead. Another reason I despise Facebook.

Meh, sorry for the tangent.

one can't forget that 90% of people give the other 10% a bad rep.

when we rang the internet company because we were interested in changing, because they suck, they were so difficult to talk to that mum cried and we haven't done it since.
so i bought a 10m ethernet cable to stretch from the router to the living room and the max speed we're stuck at is averaging at 10mbps.

the upload speed is particularly awful compared to my peer's, under 1 mbp/s so i am glad that i suck at commentating and hate my own voice because i would not be able to maintain a podcast / youtube channel
with my current speeds. pretty much every internet company sucks though, excluding virgin.

that is still a helluva lot better than 256kb/s [what I can get most of the time, living out in the sticks].

i have never been called by a phone salesperson. can you prank them? you could pretend you were a pizza place. that might be funny. i saw it happen on a tv show once. but that was racist.

being that I was reduced [just before I became homeless] to taking a phone solicitation job, I know what crap they go through so I would decline to be unkind to them. I let mr. answering machine talk to them, it is much better at it than I.

I have yelled at hundreds of them. I don't like to repeat my name five of six times and then be told they can't help me but will transfer me to someone that can. When transferred it either disconnects or I end up talking to the parking lot attendant. Not to mention waiting over 1hr just to talk to an actual person. I have better things to do with my time then deal with crappy customer service. I do my best not to call any phone reps unless I absolutely have to.

I have a Truecall unit so my phone only rings if family call. The rest are handled with varying degrees of politeness as programmed in.
