My name is Hillary, and I am a clinical psychology student at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I recently launched my dissertation project, the Women's Sexuality Study, which looks at different parts of human sexuality (for example, sexual orientation, sexual desire, sexual satisfaction and dissatisfaction, exposure to sexual education) and well-being among women with an autism/Asperger's/spectrum identity. I designed this study to address a gap in the current research, and I really hope that the results of this study will be helpful to people on the spectrum, family members, romantic partners, and professionals. I also hope that people might find participating in the study affirming and fun. If you are interested, I would be happy to tell you more about the study! Please feel free to post here or PM me.

I am looking for women, and people with more fluid gender identities (for example, transgender, agender, genderqueer), between 18 and 30 years old to complete a 20-minute online survey. Your participation would be completely confidential, and you could choose skip any question that you did not feel comfortable answering. If you would like to participate, you can access the study at www.umbwomensstudy.com

This research has been approved by the UMass Boston IRB (ethics board). I emailed Alex a few times, but did not hear back; I asked about posting on the Wrongplanet.net discussion board. If this post is unwelcome or violates any rules, I sincerely apologize, and please let me know so that I (or a moderator) can remove it right away.

Thank you for considering it!
Hillary

Good sense of humor! I'm realizing that starting my post with "Seeking..." sounds a bit like online dating (not my intention!)

You realize a lot of people (myself included) will wonder if your request is credible or a hoax.

You might have more success if your survey was posted on an actual UMass website page, i.e.

www.umb.edu/subpage/subpage/...

That is, provided you are who you say you are....

I appreciate your response. Good point about posting the website on UMass Boston's domain, instead of a GoDaddy website. If you are concerned about authenticity (and if others are too), then the best way to verify this study is to contact the UMass Boston IRB (http://www.umb.edu/research/policies_pr ... _board_irb) regarding protocol 2014095. Please let me know if you have any other questions, or if there is a different way I can show that I am who I say I am.

Good luck with your study - I'm a guy so I won't be participating but there are many women members of WrongPlanet.

The link in your OP doesn't seem to be working. "Error 404 page not found"

Oh no! Thank you so much for the heads up. It looks like a stray dot was the culprit... I will figure out how to edit the OP in a moment.

I just wanted to say an open thank you to people who have participated to date, and who have asked some very thoughtful, constructive questions about the study. I am looking for only 10 more participants to reach my goal of 100. I really appreciate any help you can offer, whether it be taking the survey yourself, if you are eligible, or sharing the study information with someone you think might be eligible and interested. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions, either on or off the forum.

Thank you again!
Hillary
