Hey gang, I got the results back form neuropsychological assessment that Voc-rehab sent me to

Got some questions in translating what various scores and IQ means:

In intellectual functioning I ranked in the lower 80's (low average) on the WAIS-IV however it is noted that my verbal is of average range (tho no IQ number was giving for a person my age (33) would I still fall in the class of HFA or would I now be LFA? what is the cut off between the two?

I will admit my math is NOT where it should be due to the fact I was not taught what I should have been taught when I was in school so I'm at a 4th grade level where as the grade equivalent for reading is at 11th grade tho the GED assessment test(s) puts me at a 12+ grade level go figure

Also worth noting that the person suspects the presence of soft neurological sign that is consistent with organic brain dysfunction located in the right hemisphere because the bender drawings were poorly executed with 3 errors could that be due to Autism?

Can somebody tell me if the above is indicative of Autism (level 1) or Aspergers? Also with WAIS-IV IQ being in the lower 80's (low average) Should I just go ahead and wash away my future plans for a college degree in communications and/or a tech degree and just settle for a retail job or a mc job where there's not much thing going on rather then the career that I wanted to pursue? I mean if my IQ is in the low average range (which I believe the "normal IQ" is in the 90-109 range) why am I spending so much time f*****g time getting a GED and mapping out colleges if there is little hope for improvements?!

Somebody please help

it isnt intelectual disability, even those of us diagnosed with mild intelectual disability are recognised as such from a very young age it has a significant impact on functioning, behavior, thinking and mental capacity.
intelectual disability is also diagnosed based on a discussion with parents on developmental history and a functional test, just having an IQ test doesnt mean anything.

intelectual disability refers to an equal PIQ/VIQ IQ under seventy, low functioning autism medicaly refers to when a autistic has a real/genuine IQ under seventy and the impact this has on their autism presentation [it makes a persons autism present as severe or profound due to rigidity of thinking, lack of coping ability, lack of mental capacity].

people who have unequal PIQ/VIQs with one side being very low usualy have specific learning difficulties that affect things such as IQ tests but they have strengths in other areas which shows in their higher PIQ/VIQ side.

Kingdom Of Rats thanks for the clear up!

I re-read the whole report and yes my verbal is where it should be however I was tested on math recalling shapes and drawing and recalling stories shortly after the person read them and a few mins after the person read them I was in a deficit.... My teachers actually called me ret*d when I was in middle school all these years later I'm trying to move on and now trying to determine if this report is echoing what they said so many years ago Yes I know I have Autism yes I know I suck at math and short term memory isn't what it's suppose to be (that's why I want to write things down)

no problem at all joelfan it might be worth getting pyschological assessment for specific learning difficulties though as that might also help with personal understanding & self esteem plus get past what those horrible teachers said,it can really eat away at self esteem, perhaps if the teacher is still working coud visit her to show her how have turned out-she will probably be now thinking with the times and very apologetic for the disablist comments as one of mine was.

teachers from back then got away with calling a lot of kids ret*d,imbercile, backward, slow, simple etc because they didnt understand the nature of specific learning difficulties nor had the understanding to care how intelectual disability really affects us.
