Does anyone have any tried and true methods to relieving stress of sensory issues? I have this thing where if I'm stressed or having an off day, everything feel "off". I find myself stretching my fingers and toes apart or cracking them because they just don't feel right (or rolling my wrists), clothing is irritating and shoes are impossible. The feet thing is the worst though. It's like I want to spread them apart further than they actually go and it drives me nuts. PLEASE if anyone has this same issue and has found relief can you share. It is driving me crazy at the moment. :(

Have you tried deep theraputic massage? I really love a swedish massage. I realy wish i could afford to get a massage once a week, but i can only afford one once every 6 months. I get really sore legs and feet an aching shoulders. i think that it's my body tensing up when I'm stresed.

I have a big deep plastic bowl that I reserve specially for giving myself foot baths. Sometimes I will put some hot-to-warm water in it and a handful of epsom salts and maybe a chip off a Lush bath bomb for some soothing scent, and go sit quietly with a book or just watch TV with my little foots soaking in a footie bath. The epsom salts are pure magnesium and magnesium is the 'relaxing mineral' so your feet will absorb some of that and help to relax you. Don't forget to grab a towel to dry off so you're not walking down the hall with wet feet and slip - I nearly fell that way once 8O  (not relaxing!) And a pair of clean dry socks too.

It's cheap too: bowl from dollar store $1.25, bag of epsom salts from Bulk Barn $4-5 for a huge bag that lasts ages..

Come to think of it - just typing this is making me feel like a footie bath! Bye!

Just been looking for a gift for someone online and I've stumbled across some Lavender scented foot rub - sounds awesome, thinking of buying some for myself.
