A crazy thing happened to me last week, and Im still thinking about it. I live in an old house here in Portland, and the owners live in LA 500 miles away. So the garage door opener stopped working, and I need to get in there, so I called the repairman whose name is on a card above the switch inside the garage. He comes around two on a bright afternoon, and it took him maybe 10 minutes to suss out the problem and fix it. I'm standing out there trying to look like a regular citizen. So in the distance a train whistle blows a couple of times, and I blurt out something like, "I love those train whistles here in Portland, they remind me of my youth." And he picked up on it, and we stood outside there in the driveway and talked for an HOUR. I have NEVER in my long life had a conversation with a stranger for an hour. Five minutes is long... three minutes is pretty long. Weeks... months go by without me having a conversation with anyone for more than a minute. Any of you all ever click with a stranger like that? I spent years in bars, and took many airplane trips... Gary was his name.

Yes I can click with a person like that too.

NT people can get lonely too.

I find this is pretty rare however.
