Need to vent about my diagnosis process

So I finally had my follow up appointment for my ADOS evaluation yesterday, and it went so poorly that I just need to vent a little here.

For starters, one of the sections that was supposed to rule out alternative conditions was so littered with obvious errors that she spent a good 15 minutes of the session editing and rewriting the report.

What really frustrated me was the portion of the report that was supposed to go over my performance on the ADOS evaluation. On the report she had me scored as 6, and said [gamerdad] meets the criteria for ASD. However, the threshold score is supposed to be 7. So when I asked her this she pulled out the actual test and showed me how I was actually scored, and it was more like 8-10 (some of the scores were written like "1-2").

I honestly can't recall what her reasons for changing the scores were, other than that she said they debated them a lot with her team. To be honest, I'm not sure I even believe that's what happened given the errors in the other part of the report.

In the end, it's not like it matters a ton. Seeing the actual scores was enough to get the validation I wanted out of the diagnosis process. I just can't imagine it being possible to get that feeling in a less satisfying way than the way this though.

Don't worry about the specific scores.
You are diagnosed, and ADOS was just a tool for making the diagnosis.
Don't obsess over scores, they don't really say much about you, eggsept that you likely classify into a certain group based on them, and that's it.
There are too many obsessions over IQ scores and ADOS scores and this score and that score on WP.
