I'm doing an independent study in art on the Autistic Point of View and want to do something involving number chromaesthesia and the different colors auties have ascribed to numbers.

So, what are your 0-9?

red green 6 9 - forget which ones.
Blue yellow 8 2 ,1
Green yellow 8 3 ,1
Red Yellow 5
Blue Blue darker than blue 4
Purples and pinks - no association ,, but if it had to be then 7
2 I may associate with brown if there is a even color next to it.

Black and white - I sometimes see colour in it .eg gray and will no-adays us it as a linking number.

---These I invented - they don't feel autistic to me but factual!

I don't see colors for numbers but I do see them for letters.

0 = Light grey
1 = White
2 = Red
3 = Light Green
4 = Purple
5 = Light Red
6 = Orange
7 = Yellow
8 = Dark Green
9 = Light Orange

The strange thing is that if the one represent anything higher than a single unit i.e 10, 100, etc, or I'm looking at time and it's 1am/pm, the number one is Light Yellow instead of White. :?

I could never really point out the exact colors on a color chart though, as it like they cannot be seen by the human eye and they glow like a aura. Basically I can only say what the nearest color is to it basically.

0 - black
4 - green, blue
8 - green

Those are all. I think they may be associated with some number toys I had as a child.

Resistor color code. Sometimes used for other components or wire "nesting".
Other than electronics I don't associate numbers with colors.
I do associate colors with music tones and modes.

I have Number-form Sythenasia(sp?), which is completely different from the standard letter-color type.

It's like having a personal number line in my head.
It works on other things besides numbers, though.

Here's a picture of what it looks like(this isn't mine; I got it off of Wikipedia.)

0 = clear
1= white
2 = red
3 = yellow
4 = green
5 = pink
6 = blue
7 = dark yellow
8 = dark green
9 = brown

I remember phone numbers as a sequence of colors, not numbers, so sometimes I will get 3s and 7s mixed up because I just remember them as "yellow." If a phone number has an ugly sequence of colors, I have trouble remembering it.

And here are my letters (for the heck of it):

A = blue
B = pink
C = yellow
D = brown
E = red
F = bluish green
G = yellow
H = bluish green
I = white
J = orange-yellow
K = pink
L = white
M = brown
N = light brown
O = clear
P = light brown
Q = silver
R = green
S = red
T = brown
U = yellow
V = yellow
W = purple and green (striped)
X = blac
Y = yellow
Z = black-silver
