I developed mysterious sprains on my toe ligaments (left foot) four days ago. I woke up Monday morning and could barely walk on because my toes was hurting so badly. I was perplexed because I couldn't figure out why. I hadn't been running, falling, stumbled, or done anything that would cause this condition. It was all an enigma. So for the last four days I have been struggling with walking around and I have cursed my bad luck. This afternoon, I finally had an epiphany and realized the cause of my injury.

Sunday evening I was watching NFL Sunday Night Football and during the whole game I was stimming by vigorously rubbing my feet and toes together for almost four hours. Yes, I apparently stimmed myself to a sport injury.

Is this a new stim? Or was four hours more than you had done it before?

Ah gotcha. Yeah that sucks when they are so enjoyable but the next day, you are feeling the effects from them. Have you been to the doc? What did they say?

It was definitely enjoyable. I have an appointment to see the doc on Monday. I'm not sure what to tell him.

I'm trying to figure out how to word it without sounding like some crazy person.

I wonder if googling common ways that that injury occurs might help. I mean, if you don't want to be completely honest.

It won't sound crazy if you just tell him the truth. I am sure your doctor is familiar with Autism and with stimming. That is interesting about that particular injury. Rubbing my feet together is one of my favorite stims but I do it more gently and not for too long at a time. I like doing it when I am lying down because it is so relaxing for me. Your toes can be fragile so you will want to pace yourself with it so you don't get injured again.
