This might seem like a simple thing but it's something that's been bugging me for a while. I don't have any particular difficulty maintaining eye contact but sometimes when I do it too long I start thinking, am I staring?

It could be in a long conversation or while someone is making a long speech. After a while I start glancing to the side because when I was a kid I got accused of staring. So in situations that require eye contact, how much is too much?

With my ASD it appears my eyes aren't moving when in fact they are, though the appearance is getting better.
I read and use one thing about eye contact in an interviews book: to prevent staring move your eyes in a triangle pattern,
formed by going from the other person's nose to his/her eyes and back.
It works though at my last interview it wasn't perfect.

That is very interesting to know. While I have a difficult time looking at someones eyes, when I really try I've been accused of staring. Which, I've been told comes off as 'spooky' or 'creepy'.

I tend to focus on the eye brows and predict their eye movement from them. I also have a terrible time at just blanking out and focus out of the world which some call creepy.
