I don't know if this is because I'm on the spectrum or because I have ocd/Trauma but Adderall didn't make me creative, it just made me feel euphoric - it actually stifled my creativity. It made me very slow, and kind of mechanical and exacerbated the OCD. I feel like everyone always thinks i'm on drugs anyway but these things don't really effect me in the way they do to other people? People take adderall and they are like WOW I HAVE THE BEST creative ideas! I'm so efficient etc but for me it doesn't do that at all, same with weed... I have more fun sober?

It's normal to feel euphoric when taking stimulants, more-relaxed, and eventually-paranoid when taking enough cannabis.

I don't hold it against people, who are taking it for a useful purpose, or keeping it to themselves, but don't consider it to be an overriding urge, in my life.

I do think that rank abuse eventually affects people's system of reward, as some no longer seem able to feel 'high on life.'

I am glad for little things, and don't get that from frequent drug users, who used to be different people.

I'm not sure if this is totally on topic,

I've never done any illegal drugs however shortly after a 2 deaths and a passing of a pet I was prescribed a prozac 10mg and later on as a condition to be a part of a "day program" I went to to try to help my self (the pgm didn't work btw) the meds only clouded my judgement and really didn't do anything to help treat my underlining issues but rather to throw a blanket on my depression while taking the meds I backed into a person thankfully it didn't leave a mark on his car and he was more then willing to look the other way and go on about his business. that wasn't the worst of it I had just moved into a boarding house and they had a spare room they were looking to fill so I invited another person from a day program to live with me being that he was a transplant form the north east I thought great this would be cool it turned out he was on meds because he was schizo which I didn't know at the time but we all found out later when he stopped taking his meds. needless to say I flushed my meds down the toilet which pissed off the day group people because I became more cognizant of what was going on around me and questioned their actions. So needless to say the meds painted an unrealistic world versus the world that I see with my own eyes.

I never felt creative while taking any kind of drugs.

When I took Ritalin (18 years ago) it cleared up my auditory processing and made me better able to listen in class and hear to what other people were saying. But it was incredibly dull and boring. My mind stopped whirling around making fun associations to different things.

When I took Prozac, it made me feel enraged and downright violent. I stopped taking it after 2-3 weeks, and ended up trying to overdose on the pills I had left over.

I tried Wellbutrin once, very briefly, and I don't remember what kind of effect it had on me but I didn't like it at all.

Pot never made me feel more creative or social or anything really, other than just mellowed out. When I used chronic, it would make me hallucinate very mildly (like sitting in a parked car but thinking the car was moving). I usually enjoyed getting high but never really got what the big deal was about it. Sometimes it made me feel dulled down in a way I really disliked.

I smoked cigarettes off and on for years and strangely never got addicted to it. It made me able to focus better. Probably the best ADHD drug there is.

I'm hypersensitive to certain drugs and hypo-sensitive to others. I can't have epinephrine shots at the dentist as it causes me to go into a full blown panic attack where I almost pass out.

I'm on a good amount of medication due to all the stuff that I have (GAD, Panic disorder, Acid Reflux, Insomnia, High blood pressure) and found the right balance for the most part now, just need to get my clonazepam's increased and then I'll be pretty good I think.

My concerta affects my sleep, but I can't stop it because I've tried that before. It didn't blow over very well, and I had to go back up to my usual dosage before.

Adderrall does not make, me more creative....it seems to help focus on rather mudane tasks and make them more enjoyable and I like the sort of energy rush it causes, something caffeine does not quite measure up to even in high doses. . For instance cleaning on adderall is quite the experience, put on some music be on adderall and cleaning is amazing. I have never been prescribed it but was hooked up with it a couple times over-all I do like the effects. As for cannabis it does seem to sort of open my mind to more ideas which in a sense makes me feel more creative about some things but it more causes a mood lift, relaxed feeling of well-being and just generally makes things more pleasant.

I think if any drugs really induce creativity it would be psychedelics....unfortunately I haven't attempted to do much creative while tripping, but I want to try and draw something and see what happens one of the next times I indulge.

I feel like if you need drugs to be creative, you should just work at McDonalds.

It is not so much one would need drugs to be creative, however some drugs can enhance creativity.
