Has this woman a complex developmental disorder?
I one of my schools there was a girl (let's name her X here) who was somewhat "other", "odd" or even "strange". She was named by a girl classmate as "weird" (Polish: "dziwna"), the classmate had to excuse the girl who is interesting to me here. I think that I might once heard that X "lives in one's own word" (Polish: "żyje we własnym świecie").
Very interestingly, X appear for me as a person who is strangely similar to a woman (let's hame her Y) from Polish AS forum who has 160 AS and 39 NT in Aspie quiz and appear to belong to the spectrum of pathological demand avoidance (PDA) disorder (she even admitted that she has a lot of traits which are typical to PDA.
Some of information about X:
1. She had somewhat atypical, "odd" voice, which sounds "East Slavic" to me (her prosody was somewhat atypical to me), she moved to my regions of country from more eastern part of my country, but I do not think that it is resposible for atypical tone of her voice; her speech llok somewhat "strange" and I think that other people might noticed somewhat atypical in it (not only "East Slavic) tone, she may appear "aloof"
2. I think that she had sensory integration disorders - some things in class bothered her (such as open (or closed?) window); she probably disliked injections; I do not know if she was clumsy or not
3. She had diagnosis of dyslexia, but her handwriting was even more prtetty than mine; she had quite poor grades in secondary school, also in Polish language; she liked geometry tasks (maybe is a visual thinker?); she may have artistic talent
4. Her behaviors and customs (clothing, collecting some things) look markedly eccentric to me; she looks as a person with social ineptitude; her attitude towards sexuality was rather not so typical
5. She had atypical interests - quantum physics, Eastern philosophy (such as Y!); she disliked traditional religion (due to her sensitivity?); she may be emotionally immature, and strangely sensitive; she may had depression when I saw her personally; she was a vegetarian
6. She had very low number of friends in Facebook (when I looked her profile); she posted her photos on some page which is for me somewhat associated in "strange" people
7. She appeared to be not so interested in learning in school; her attitude toward learning may be "irritating" for parents and maybe for teachers; she might have problems with responsibility and demands which are typical to PDA; she complained one that she has "bad mum" if I remember well
I think that she is may be not NT... I do not know when she started to be "atypical". I might suppose that she has schizotypal disorder... But the case from Polish AS forum is somewhat strikingly similar to her case and I suppose that my classmate may have a complex developmental difference, especially from PDA spectrum.
She might appear as "odd" to other people in the class. She talked with school pedagogue who did not suspect AS as I know. She may be somewhat fascinating to me. She may be very sensitive and may have "other" mentality. She was not as inept as I. The similarities between X and Y were so "striking" that I might thought that X wrote on AS forum! It is interesting what X has. Is she "neurodiverse" or not? For me she appears to be neurodiverse, but I do not know about her childhood. Maybe she was other in the childhood and she is "NT"?
