I don't understand the question...

Like a package?

Like insult yourself?

Like have yourself euthanized by a vet?

Baffled by this, I can't find a context or sense that makes any of these words work properly together.

Yes, because I used to put myself down before I went on antidepressants. I used to put myself down on facebook. I called myself worthless because I was lonely and felt nobody wanted to be around me. I called myself stupid because nobody wanted to employ me. I called myself a 2-headed freak because people looked at me like I had 2 heads, which got me mad because I couldn't say "well I may have AS but things could be worse, like having 2 heads" because people gave me looks as though I had 2 heads, so I couldn't even win there.

So thank God I went on antidepressants when I did. I've been taking them over 8 months now, and haven't had one rage outburst since, and I've had little moments of self doubt but that's quite normal in humans. Otherwise I am more confident about myself.

Yes, I've been told so. I was also told it was annoying because when NTs do it it means they're fishing. I wasn't doing that. I was just frank about how I felt.

I am very harsh on myself. I think it's because I believe that I can always do better, and I work in a performance related environment as well, so I suppose it's the ideal place to expect more from myself.

So yes I do put myself down and I know I do without being told that I do.

However, in the past when I was told I was putting myself down I wasn't aware that I was doing.

I think it was more along the lines of what Skilpadde said. I was just being honest about myself.

I've been told that I "put myself down" many times.

The theory behind this is that if a person "puts his/herself down," this automatically prevents progress from being made. In order for a person to make progress, one must have confidence in one's self.

"Putting yourself down," means that you believe you will fail. You have a self-fulfilling prophecy which tells you that you will always fail.

You have to stop "putting yourself down" so you will, at least, have a chance to succeed.

Yes. I feel I'm being realistic, but that's sometimes viewed as downplaying, and by extension 'putting myself down'.

You have to create, for yourself, a "new realism." This could only be done if you are not stymied by the "old realism."

I was often told that by my parents and teachers while I was in high school.

Yeah. IDK why, I just think I'm dumber than others think I am.
