For me, it's anger. I used to watch TV with the sound off, watching expressions to learn them. But I was mainly watching rubbish like This Morning, so I guess I never really learned how to identify an angry face, seeing as daytime TV tends to keep it nice :-P

To illustrate, when I did the Baron-Cohen 'facial recognition test', I got the angry face correct on my 10th try...

In other people? Probably anger. I tend to miss the cues or just not take them seriously.

In myself? Fear or anxiety.

Interesting, I have never tried watching with the sound off. I am mostly okay with extreme emotions like anger and happiness, but hopeless with the more subtle emotions. I find it easier to identify on television as it is a different situation to face to face interaction and often, the emotions are portrayed in a more obvious fashion.

I identify strongly with "Wolfman" emotions.

"Human" emotions: I'm not so sure.

Not recognising other peoples anger has landed me in a lot of trouble in my life. It still does in fact, but somehow I always find it funny. I just can't relate to why anyone should get so worked up about (seemingly to me) nothing.

I'm really poor at recognising emotions full stop.

That's how I am. It just seems to me like they are playing at being angry and I can't believe they could really seriously be angry over whatever it is.

Several to include anger.
I'm sure it will always cause major problems because most people will never communicate openly and honestly.

I am no good at the lower emotions, except for sad and afraid. I got those on the first try. I find facial expressions, when someone is actually looking at you, to be no more reliable than what they say. The idea of assessing someone's state of mind, based solely on their facial expression? People show you the face they want you to see.

Within myself fear. Second being anger. I see anger or disgust easily in other people. I'm used to reading it from my mother's face and learning these expressions in an attempt to make her like me more. You should watch the show Lie to Me. It's based on the science of Micro-expressions.

P.S. I watch the tv with the sound off too because it's too noisy to stand. Animes with subtitles are the best thing that's ever happened to me.

I confuse peoples anger with humor, not quiet sure if they are making a joke or serious. Empathy is a big one.

Sadness is hard for me sometimes. I'll find myself crying, while a part of my brain goes "Gosh, guess I'm pretty upset".

Ya know, I was just thinking the other day, there's a weird NT "emotion" I simply cannot understand... it's sort of a happy-rage. Like they'll be happy/excited/etc. about something, yet have a negative tone and even negative facial expressions. They might yell something like, "UGH are you kidding me?! That's really awesome!" And like in Despicable Me, when Agnes said, "It's so fluffy!" I hope this at least makes a little sense. XD It's quite confusing, so also quite hard to explain.
