I'm obsessed with the passage of time. I read a book or see someone on TV taking a bus or walking, and calculate that it takes time to get someplace. A child growing up, a plant getting taller, seasons changing, the sun climbing highier in the sky. how long it takes to eat, comb your hair, put on makeup etc.

I'm also obsessed with what would a person do if he/she could with no fear of consequences like jail. would they kill their neighbor, steal from the supermarket, sell drugs?

I dont think I'm too bosessed - for an aspie. mildly obsessed. not like some aspies who forget to eat and drink water or sleep because they're so involved in what they're doing.

what is your bosession, and how obsessed are you? do you forget to eat?

I thought this was interesting and started a thread for it in the random board: viewtopic.php?t=272483

I do sometimes forget to eat, drink or use the toilet when I am studying science or making art. If I am concentrating very, very hard, I may sometimes not breathe for an extended period and then suddenly gasp for breath. I don't think of this as being obsessed, but as being focused.

I guess that's why cats are superior:

They don't care about the passage of time; they live solely in the present.

great that you found something you are fascinated by and love so deeply. You can develop a career in science or art, or both. You'll be the best.

Of course cats are superior! They think we're their servants. They have a fascinating life, sleep all day and chase mice. I take care of three felines, white and black, pitch black, and striped brown.

Right now? The Warriors books. It's about these feral cats that roam the woods. They look like domesticated cats, but they aren't. As for long term, my obsession is Tom Hiddleston. <3 My obsession with Tom has actually died down some, but I still adore him. <3

Music, it's a long term obsession that has only gotten worse over the years. I'm listening to Christmas music this morning, I have 45 Christmas cds in my collection! :)

Comic books - I read comics almost everyday and draw too. I'd love to become a comic book artist one day and spend the rest of my life drawing and writing my own comics. That would be bliss.

Sciences (which I'm studying at A Level) - I've always loved science, especially medical science. I like to research diseases, how they harm the body etc.

Dinosaurs - a lifelong obsession.

I don't really have obsessions now that my OCD is managed by a med but I would say my strongest interest is my girlfriend.

Alternative medicine is a long-term obsession of mine. Chinese 5-element is my favourite followed by essential oils

Won't go into details but by the time I was 10 my trust in the medical establishment was already severely damaged and by the time I reached 20 trust was non-existent and any treatment was a neccesary evil.
I got a leaflet through the door from a chinese doctor whom clained he could fix my frozen shoulder so I thought why not? I had seen an osteopath the previous 2 years and there was little more than a few days relief at the best.
The Chinese doctor didn't speak English and after electro accupuncture he gave me some herbs to take home. They were the most vile disgusting things I had tasted up to that point in my life but lifted the pain thus effective all the same. I went back a few more times, got more herbs.
It sort of went from there and that was more than half a life time ago.
I rarely visit a 'normal' doctor these days and will happily drive a 700km round trip to get an hour massage of a chinese doctor
Energy medicine to me is very real, even if it is the pacebo effect, I don't care, it works for me.

Sadly no, but I do plan on getting a copy eventually.

Video games and reminiscing on past good events, which in turn make me sad.

Right now: Simcity (it never lifted in 90s), checking my coins for coins worth saving (I collect coins), time pieces (oddly enough I regularly forget to wind my Cuckoo Clock), time.

I do regularly get deep into certain video games.

I am also currently obsessed with getting certain Nintendo Amiibo (Tomorrow I am after Zelda).

Sometimes its just certain foods or drinks, or even a color.

Most pass over time, some stick like Simcity.

I'm done with Ruby Script.
I'm done with writing stories.

I'm not yet done with script writing language.
And because of that, I end up obsessing my country's ancient history. >.< If there WAS any.

My main obsessions are various mixtures of technology, business, economics and politics.

I occasionally also get obsessed with videography, music and communication.

I also recently had a bit of an obsession with lightbulbs...

In school instead of a swear box my friends threatened to start an "economics box" lol
