If there will be an aspie gathering, would you consider attending it?
If so, how close to where you live would it have to be in order for you to consider attending it?
How long would you like the aspie gathering to last? (a day? two days? more than that?)
What sort of activities would you like to have during the gathering? (presentations? games? discussions? beer drinking?)
How many participants would you like the gathering to have? (around a dozen? around a hundred? more than that?)
Do you have any additional requirements that need to be met in order for you to consider attending the gathering?
Do you have any additional things that you would like to say about the aspie gathering?
Do you have any questions about the aspie gathering?

Oh I never thought about the cost of the gathering. No traveling, not too much money. Those are my requirements.

Consider, yes.
Generally within 300 miles.
Two days, a third day would be the upper limit.
Focus on artistic expression, communication methodologies, and employment skills.
Attendance would scale depend on events; would be most comfortable around 50-500 people if I have to interact.
Agreed with keeping cost down; allow for custom experiences instead of single-path plan of experience.
Nothing further to add at this time.

If I could get there by bus and sky train, I'd be able to attend. I can't really afford plane tickets and hotels, right now.

Would I want to attend an autism gathering: yes
Distance: I've been to one autism conference at a local community college & a few autism walks. B/c I cannot drive I have to rely on my mother or a friend to drive me places. Local (southeaster PA the United States) would be best but I could probably manage in state if my driver wanted to attend as well. Outside the United States is highly unlikely to work in my case. :(
Length of the event: 1-3 days (a weekend would be preferable) any more than that I'd most likely need to leave early or come late. If it were over 3 days I'd have to make arrangements w/ my family (who would most likely come) for our dogs & it couldn't be while my parents are working or during my semester or siblings school year.
Activities: I'm not picky
How many participants: I prefer small gatherings but it really depends on the size of the meeting place (building, arena, field/don't know where your proposing). Bigger place w/ more space= more people is okay with me :D
Additional requirements: None that I can think of, unless it would be over 3 days (dogsitting/bring them along :? ).
Additional comments: N/A
Questions:Is this hypothetical or are WP members trying to arrange a gathering?

If there will be an aspie gathering, would you consider attending it? YES
If so, how close to where you live would it have to be in order for you to consider attending it? NO MORE THAN AN HOUR OR SO FROM HOME
How long would you like the aspie gathering to last? (a day? two days? more than that?) MAYBE WEEKLY OR ONCE EVERY FORTNIGHT - 1-2 HRS PER SESSION
What sort of activities would you like to have during the gathering? (presentations? games? discussions? beer drinking?) GAMES, DISCUSSIONS (SMALL GROUP OR 1-1), OUTINGS (EG GOING FOR A WALK OR PICNIC IN A PARK OR BBQ)
How many participants would you like the gathering to have? (around a dozen? around a hundred? more than that?) AROUND A DOZEN OR MAYBE FEWER
Do you have any additional requirements that need to be met in order for you to consider attending the gathering? WON'T CONSIDER ME RUDE SHOULD I NEED TO LEAVE BEFORE THE END OF THE SESSION. ATTEND AS AN OBSERVER AT TIMES (IE WITHOUT THE PRESSURE OF HAVING TO FULLY PARTICIPATE IN EVERY ACTIVITY)
Do you have any additional things that you would like to say about the aspie gathering? I WOULDN'T WANT TO GO TO ONE THAT IS FOR CHILDREN.
Do you have any questions about the aspie gathering?

I would consider it.
It would have to be within 50-100 miles. I don't like travelling much.
The length of an afternoon is a nice period of time to spend in the company of others.
Games and discussions sound good. Not too much heavy stuff.
I have no preference in regard to your last few questions.

Yes, I've done so before.
If so, how close to where you live would it have to be in order for you to consider attending it?
Within reach of the bus system, with enough time to learn how to use said bus system.
How long would you like the aspie gathering to last? (a day? two days? more than that?)
Two hours. Or, simply being able to get permission to duck out when you got exhausted.
What sort of activities would you like to have during the gathering? (presentations? games? discussions? beer drinking?)
Talking. Games. Whatever people liked. You'd just poll people on what they were interested in. I think personally there ought to be at least one serious discussion about advocacy, because I get my best ideas on that topic talking to other people in the same area trying to get similar things done.
How many participants would you like the gathering to have? (around a dozen? around a hundred? more than that?)
If it were more than a dozen, there'd have to be crowd-control methods to prevent overload. Autscape seems to handle it pretty well--

Do you have any additional requirements that need to be met in order for you to consider attending the gathering?
Include the whole spectrum. Does us no good to exclude people based on arbitrary diagnosis.

If I can take Amtrak to it withing a day or so. Preferably within the Chicago Metropolitan Area [I include Milwaukee in this, and South Bend due to the rail lines that go out there). If I can take amtrak to it from the city core of Chicago [Union Station] I would like to go

The same as anime conventions. Three days, friday, saturday and sunday. A week con would work - just do it during summer or winter for those with strict jobs/classes/etc

Quote:

Presentaions, Games, Discussions, LAN PArties, DDR tournaments, discussions on building a autistic base for political usages/discussions [or extra legal things for freedom fighting, autistic liberation front lol ;)], some aspects of science-fiction (cyberpunk and how autistic people fit into the internet, near-future space exploration, etc)

As many as possible. Then again many other neurodivergents might not like that.

Have to be able to take AMTRAK or some other manner of public transport to get there. I don't like paying attention to roads and positions of cars, etc for hours on end which may vary on climate.

I hope it's not expensive to go to

Yes, to attending.
Preferably Portland or Seattle, or maybe the Bay Area.
ONE WEEK!
Various types of activities.
No more than 150-300 people.
No, not at all.
No specifics.

I am trying to meet at every aspergers support group in my area. The last one I attended was actually cancled but they never announced the cancleation so I travled two hours for nothing. I still think it's imprtant to meet with other people like you in a world where we are so very diffrent from everyone else.
