How am I supposed to survive "out there"
Apparently, nobody understands that when they explain certain things to me, I have trouble grasping even the simplest of some explanations, because the way I feel closely explains it, is that it sounds like someone is explaining total rocket science to me. It's making me overwhelmed and a perfectionist, and how can I survive the big world when most of the time, simple things like feeling "in love" or certain expressions, concepts etc sounds like rocket science to me. Am I just weird? There must be something wrong with my brain. Now, it does make me feel that Asperger's, or the way I suffer from it, is more of a curse than a blessing. How can I gain understanding of the world around me?

You gain a much greater 'understanding' of the world around you the very moment you stop trying to understand it because you never will (nobody will). Concepts like love are never meant to be reasonable, just experienced.
I also find that people get frustrated trying to explain things to me, but I just take all I can process and pretend to listen to them when it's all flying over my head like a jumbo jet.
Just do whatever makes you happy.
Indeed.
In order to learn about life, you have to experience life. Don't let your "lack of knowledge" stop you. As you experience life, your "lack of knowledge" will, inevitably, become less.
I was a pretty naive person when I was young. I'm 54 now--and there' still much to learn--but I've benefited from living life.

I believe the term is 'rocket surgery'!
I'm a perfectionist when it involves something I really care about. If I don't, then 'it's toast'!
Yes! You're just weird - you've got Asperger's for God's Sake! What do you expect? I've been waiting for my people to come down and pick me up for the last 37 years! I'm weird. We're all weird. Accept it!
