Trying to impress with eye contact

My eye contact is bad because Of AS. I have had close to 100% eye contact only dealing with my attorney representing my case against the government, My half-brother, BIL and his wife, my cousin, and counselors at a job training program 8 years ago.

When I met them I make a conscious decision to make eye contact no matter how difficult it is for me. Is this normal? This sounds like I want to impress these individuals. Has anyone gone through this?
