I call these people extreme NTs. Mainly because they have exaggerated NT traits. I don't have any better name for them.

I couldn't see your link.

But very few NT's are "extreme NT's."

Me too. I can talk to them for ten minutes, but after a while they seem boring and plastic. I could never be real friends with someone like that.

Alpha baboon.

I could only handle watching the first 1.16 minutes.
I felt my IQ points quickly draining out of my body and had to stop it.

We need to get off of this planet now!

Enough of the "NT bashing." Labeling all behavior that you dislike as "neurotypical" shows profound ignorance of Psychology, Neurology, and humanity in general.

Horrible?

Motivational leaders make me sick. Talks too fast and strident for me, can't keep up, hurts a bit to listen. Don't like the "larger than life" thing, the way she constantly smiles, the "science," the pseudo-intellectualisation of what are probably a few mediocre observations about crowd control. This is how not to motivate me, I'm very picky about the style of presentations.

Always the power motif

I agree it's not a NT issue. Maybe it's necessary to be NT in order to do what she does, but not everybody with a knife stabs people with it.

She does have some good points. Like it or not, your body language is very important. I'm gonna do power poses to show my dominance. Heck ya!

And theres no such thing as "extremely neurotypical." You're either neurotypical or you're not. Quit trying to associate neurotypicals with certain personalities.

It totally confirms what Stanislavski writes in his books on acting as early as in the thirties.
It makes good sense, and she delivers it very clearly and easy to understand.
Bodylanguage IS important.
You probably won´t get the job if you enter with low head and drooping shoulders.
If you feel low and self deprecating, you may try out the powerpositions before you go out...as an experiment.

Hehe! Many years ago a saleswoman used to be SO arrogant towards me, while I just bowed and said yes to anything. One day, I simply posed in front of her; made myself a bit taller, spoke a bit louder, leaned a bit toward her and did not go out of the way. Suddenly she was ever so polite

I am a huge fan of Vanessa Van Edwards' videos. She actually provides positive, constructive, practical advice and most importantly IT WORKS. The way people treat me has not only changed 100% for the better but I am able to identify someone who is nervous, etc and befriend them easier. I have literally become twice as popular and respected since I started following her videos. I've also been more successful playing hockey and have the numbers to back it up.

I have spent years thinking about and I realize the #1 reason I was beaten up in school was because I had a weak muscle in my back/neck that made me slouch severely. Sad but the fact is many humans are not far removed from the caves.
