Well CBD is technically not a drug as it won't get you high any bit and it can be extracted from industrial hemp. It's legal at least in europe.
Anyways I came across this study: Cannabinoid receptor type 2, but not type 1, is up-regulated in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of children affected by autistic disorders.
Which says CB2 receptors are upregulated in Autism and CBD could exactly adresses THAT as it antagonises CB2 receptors (among other things).
CB2 receptors are implicated in immune system and autism has been linked to autoimmune system many times in the past.
Needless to say, the crazy person that I am, I smoked some industrial hemp (don't ask why I have it. It's legal here. It has CBD and no THC (wont get you high). thats the point.) and it has a very relaxing and soothing effect on me.
Could this be a good idea? I have heard here and there about people treating their children with regular marihuana......
