Apparently I scream out, moan and shout whilst I'm asleep. I've doen it in the past, but now its becoming frequent, and its really pissing my friends off :p And although I'm very fit and healthy for my age, apparently I sound like I'm choking and breathing with difficulty when I'm asleep? Has anybody else experienced these things? Any helpful suggestions on what I should do would be really helpful, thanks.

I'm wondering if you have sleep apnea.

Otherwise: there are people who shout/talk/flail, etc in their sleep; it's not necessarily "abnormal." It's just that you have an active mind.

I was prescribed zopiclone yesterday, but it hasn't worked, and my mate has banned me from sleeping at his now :p I understand his view, he's being woken up by me screaming at s**t that isn't even there, but its not like I can control it. Anybody else been in a similar siuation and know how to deal with it? Does anything work?

Can you remember if you have any nightmares? Do you wake up after you scream? It might be something called 'pavor nocturnus', which occurs in children mostly but adults can also have it. Screaming, moaning, struggling in sleep, waking up half conscious sweating and afraid. Usually you can not remember this afterwards.

Yeah, I have nightmares but they are difficult to remember afterwards. What can I do about it?
