 When I go to my job or go to a public place, I find myself laughing at something I guess isn't funny. I saw one guy skid and fall onto cement. Now I feel real sorry for that poor guy but I couldn't stop laughing. Is this an aspie trait? Normally I don't laugh at jokes or things that people find are funny but sometimes on occasion. I've even had people ask if I was sad. Just wanted to know if anyone else has this.

I only laugh when it's appropriate.

That happens to me all the time! And after the funny moment happens, I can never control my laughing and always laugh for a long time afterwards.

I laugh only when appropriate.

But apparently, it's a loud, raucous, annoying laugh, and people seem to love to insult me for it. >_<

Laughing at someone's misfortune is one thing, but what gets me even more stares is laughing uncontrollably at some completely random thought in my head... such as a wheelchair made entirely of bacon.

Is it an aspie trait to start laughing at the wrong time? Like what I mean is, something funny may have happened earlier in the same day, or even days ago, and as soon as I think about it I start laughing at the worst times, like in the middle of class, etc. I don't seem to ever see the NTs do it. :/

I tend to laugh at inappropriate moments, though largely because I'm thinking of things that make me laugh...

Yes. A lot of the time I just find it funny how NTs word things, or other minor details that normal people wouldn't find funny. I'm not sure if it's necessarily an AS trait, although I don't know anyone else that does it. :?
But at least you can see humour in things. :)

I have a huge problem with this.

It even caused me to be fired from my first job.

And they think we have no humor! HA!

I do that too. I should've put that one down. I was in a resteraunt with my family, and started thinking of the time one of my sister's tried to kick this guy in the you know what but fell backwards on the slippery iced concrete. No she didn't seriously get hurt. It happened like a year ago and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I tried so hard to control my laughter but with no luck. My mom and sister asked if I was high on something. I told them I wasn't on anything. My sister's kids started laughing at me for laughing. My mom and sister however were pissed and wanted to leave the place. They weren't convinced that I wasn't high.
