Image. So, me, and all my autistic friends see blue and black, how do you see it and do you think autism can affect how you see the dress?

It depends entirely on the picture. In some it looks blue and black, in others white and gold, and in some lighter blue and gold, each of which can be seen here respectively as pic 3, 1 and 2: http://www.wired.com/2015/02/science-on ... lor-dress/

White and gold. I only see blue and black when people post the "alternate" picture.

Makes me think probably someone is just trying to mindf**k us all by posting one pic in some places and another pic elsewheres.

This is over in random discussion. I think its like when you draw a white grid on a black background. You can sometimes see grey/black fuzzy circles at the intersection of the white lines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grid_illusion
It this case the illusion goes across the image for some people. I have an example in random discussion where I can finally see a little black where there is none.

You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits

What would these results mean? Been told here I must be a "half pint".

Hmmm.

I think it's my contrarian streak. Or maybe my training as a graphic designer.

I don't see white and gold and I don't see blue and black. I see a mauve-blue and copper.

When I look at it sometimes it is a blue and black dress, other times I see a white and gold dress, but now realize that it is an airplane.

(I stole that)

I am tetrochromatic (and dyslexic, so the spelling might be wrong)... and I will tell you this... All I see is an UGLY dress...

Possibly the ability to see or not see optical illusions might give some insight. However it only appears to be a subset of ASC people who can't see it.
