I used to get angry about my clumsiness until one day; I slipped in butter, broke a very special dish, and woke up the baby, while trying to pour a cup of coffee. I decided I was missing out on some great comedy by looking at clumsiness as a flaw instead of free smiles for all to share.

Does anybody have any stories to share where a simple task turned into a Leslie Nielsen scene?

If other people are around, I like to exaggerate my natural clumsiness for comedic effect.

Went roller skating with some folks we knew from Church. I was very stiff, because i was afraid of falling. So I exaggerated the stiffness so people were laughing with me, not at me.

I fall down all the time. Here is me falling down while filming. The highlight of this is usually nonverbal me saying I'm okay. My family calls me Shea, not Ezra.

I was playing at tennis with my family. (I say it that way because we are not good enough to call it playing tennis.)

At one point, I tried to run backwards to try and get to the ball, ended up tripping over my feet and fell in a very funny way, ending up with my feet pointing to the sky. We just laughed and laughed and laughed (I didn't get hurt.) I was glad no one else was around, but we do wish we had video of the event.

This is just one example. Sometimes, things just "happen" to me, and I didn't do anything! Like the time the cover of the honey bear just fell off when I was pouring, and I ended up with honey all over the counter. Clumsy events follow me around. There is no option than to just laugh.

Bemoaning all these things will just make us miserable.

I have a fear of coffee prep stations. I once knocked my coffee all over someone's cell phone at Starbucks. My brain just goes haywire while I'm trying to add half and half and sweetener. Those plastic lids are really difficult to get on correctly - at least for me.

I was able to laugh about it after a few days. Although, I'm not sure if the owner of the phone was laughing.
