Aspie kindergarten boys can color between the lines.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Anybody else suffered? Seriously what was the big point? Why did the teacher have to get so worked up over it, and get me worked up too?

We will not have world peace until we loose the monetary system completely.
On a lighter note, we should use base 8, not base ten to count.

We will not have world peace while we no longer have self-serving politicians and state leaders whose pre-eminent goal is extending their own power (major current examples - Bashir Al-Assad, Putin, David Cameron.. etc etc). So we will never have world peace. We never have had world peace in any 100% sense in the whole of human history - someone was always fighting with someone else somewhere at some level for their own selfish motives and personal gain. Those factors, allied to the global corruption that is now endemic throughout nearly every country will maintain the status quo.

How much peace do you think the Weapons manufacturers want?

As you can plainly see, they get what they want.

It's like Police officers. They are biting the very hand that feed them. Police officers fight crime, but if there is no more crime. then who need Police officers.

one hundred years ago, on the front lines of the first world war, soldiers chose to have a friendly ceasefire because it was christmas, I believe this is where we must look to understand how peace can be found, thru empathy, tolerance and knowledge. It is much harder to fight an enemy once you have met them

...until the time when all the beings that can feel the lack of world peace disappear from the world, which means that "we" will have world peace only when we cannot feel/enjoy it.

Or more optimistically, ...until all the greedy people are eliminated from the world, if we can call it world peace.

My first grade teacher wanted to hold me back because I didn't color between the lines (I was perfectly capable of doing so, I just didn't want to).

In all seriousness, though, world peace cannot exist as long as greed exists.

I don't think I could color between the lines until second or third grade. It took me a long time to learn enough coordination just to write fairly legibly.

Does anyone really believe world peace is possible?
Never mind, this isn't the PPR forum.

That's awesome

But we won't have world peace until people can accept others despite their differences.

It's probably impossible. As long as people can be scapegoated, as long as propaganda works, as long as people think they know the truth with no evidence, as long as some are seen as more valuable than others, as long as some will take advantage whenever they can get away with it, as long as people are willing to believe lies that make them feel good because they make them feel good there's always going to be conflict and war (which is just large-scale conflict).

My parents have a neighbor who is starting a bunch of crap with them, because the neighbors think my parents turned them in when they built some structures on their property without a permit. They had to pay thousands of dollars in fines. My parents didn't do it, but, of course, they don't believe it. So, the conflict is unavoidable.

We will not have world peace until there is only one person left. Then, we will at last, see peace in our time.

[quote]Does anyone really believe world peace is possible?

It depends on your definition. If you imagine world peace to mean 'no violence', then clearly not, it has always been a violent planet.
But no more human war? That will happen, 'we' can only make war in the way that we do with a complex use of minerals and resources, and these are running out (much faster I believe than 'they' lead us to believe)

On a lighter note, we should use base 8, not base ten to count.

Base 8 is no better than base 10. Base 12 would be much better

In Base 8, 10 can be divided by 2 and 4.
In Base 10, 10 can be divided by 2 and 5.
In Base 12, 10 can be divided by 2, 3, 4, and 6. The 8 and 9 times tables also become very simple.
