What did happen here?

Members (not mods) said "don't promote your blog without clearing it with Alex first--was that enough to freak out and delete the blog? That seems like an over the top response, doesn't it? Was there much more than meets the eye here?

Fnord's post seems to suggest that some shameful thing went down, but I don't get it. I was curious to see it too.

It only had two entries. One was an intro and the second one was about when they bought a new car and he had anxiety over it and she reminded him they were in it together and he calmed down when he realized he wouldn't be alone in this.

Yeah the reaction was over being told to not promote a blog here without Alex's approval and she didn't realize people here were not allowed to post their blog links. I didn't know that either.

Makes sense. Is the rule that you can't post a blog link or just "Mentioning your own site is only permitted once you've contributed substantial useful content to the forums?" I there are members with links to blogs, deviant art pages, etc. in their profiles because I've visited quite a few that way.
