My son is 16 and over the past several months he has gotten more and more difient. He says he "forgets" to do things he has been doing for years. Like hygine routines, picking up his room, feedign his fish, ect.. We have lists and note reminders all over the house. We have taken all electronics away, grounded him to his room, we have tried everyting we can think of. Can anyone give us some advice on how to help him to do the simpelist things like brushing his teeth and putting on deoderant? We need help! Thank you, Michele

Has something changed in his life? Is there something a family member did even a seemingly small thing that he did not like and he is ruminating over? Is something going on at school or therapy he is not telling you about?. Are there added or new obligations he needs to do?

Nothing has changed. School is going good, family dynamics haven't changed. As far as obligations nothing has changed there either. He has been bascially doing the same morning, evening and chore routine for the past 10 years. Obviously with some changes because of his age but nothing drastic. I'm just at my wits end with this.

It's the same topic I just posted it in the wrong discussion group. I'm sorry I'm new to this
