Apart from the not-having-fun thing, that is...

Does anyone else relate?

Sort of. It's not one of the Onion's funnier articles, anyway.

Yes,at work I do.The real irony is that I am pretty sure they are "making fun" of people like me.I agree with the writer however.
I am at work to work.

At home however, all I have is fun....I come to WP to socialize, read good books,go out and collect rocks, play with my bunnies or visit my favorite thriftstore.....(are we having fun yet.....thats my usual response when I was forced to go to what others found to be fun....socializing.)I will treat myself with completely nonproductive activities....like refinishing furniture or making a collage......ah,good times.Who said aspies cant have fun?

The Onion is my favorite newspaper. Much better than the Houston Chronicle.

I can relate to that at work. I could not join in the small talk and would rather read a book at lunchtimes. I got the sack from most of my jobs where I felt unable to join in. They always find a way to get rid of you if you don't follow the sheep, sorry NTs.

I can relate. I am not one for making small talk, but I do talk about my cats often. I am glad to work in a place where people have pets.

I  the Onion.
Passionately.
Though, I do have to admit that's not that funny.

Exactly. I'm probably keenly aware of this as, at previous jobs, any minor "goofing off" was seized upon as me being a bad employee. Because I'm not good at office politics, I can't really get away with anything. My best bet is to be 100% on task at work, and offer no opportunity for criticism.
