My mother forwarded this to me awhile ago, its about the brain and disorders. I didn't get to watch it all, but from what I saw it was interesting but its very intense. So everybody let me know what you think if I should continue watching or not, i dont have the best attention span in the world haha, so if I know i'll like it, ill force myself more to watch it haha.

Frankly, I'm scared I will doze off, and don't have the time. WHAT, did she get paid by the word or minute!?!?!? Why can't she just leave the information in, and dispense with the dreck?

Is anyone up to outlining it?

Wow! Her description of her mental state when her left hemisphere shut off ("La-La Land") sounds a lot like so-called "spiritual experiences" and the altered states of consciousness cultivated by experienced meditators. 8O A lot of Buddhist meditation revolves around trying to detach your raw attention from your left hemisphere verbal chatter.

Really good video! Thanks for sharing that.

I have been told that I have a certain amount of right-hemisphere brain dysfunction, otherwise known as nonverbal-learning disorder... NLD This might have been caused by lack of oxygen at birth (my trachea was blocked at birth and had to be cleared) OR it might be hereditary..

It would make sense to me, from seeing that video, that my left hemisphere has gone into overdrive to overcompensate for the deficiencies of my right hemisphere... therefore, making me more of an individual vs. being part of the rest of the world.. I wonder if that is like autism itself, and society.. I think more than I feel... The left hemisphere is more in control than the right?? It's starting to make sense to me... I wonder if there are any exercises for the right brain specifically or Neurofeedback to get it more online than the left?
