Every now and again this strange thing happens. . .

Some set of physical cues will suddenly cause an internal reaction whereupon I feel as though I am someone else.

Like: I am in my truck with shades on and my leather jacket. I look to the side and feel not like I am looking at, but as I am Beatrix Kiddo in the P###y Wagon ready to thump Vernita Green.

Or my head rolls off to the right and down as I have a tired expression and I feel like I am Wayne Coyne in a Lips vid.

Anyone else have this kinesthetic feedfoerard to sponteneous "in someone else' body" experiences?

Yes, only I usually feel as if I am someone in my real life..but then I think, I dont know their feelings and thoughts, so how can I feel as if I am them? It is almost like an energy related thing, I believe.

It sounds as if you're temporarily dissociating, and yes, there are aspies who do that. Look it up on wikipedia.

Thank you for answers. I am not alone, and disassociation may be it. I am glad I didn't shoot myself.

Hey. If I waited to be in my truck with leather and shades, then shot muself. . .

. . .Would Uma Thurman feel it?

I have dissociation and also "play parts".I think this is how I learned to feel. When smeone was described having an emotion in a book, the author would describe their body posture or facial expression and I would simi-conciously try and mimic what was being described to try and understand what the feeling was.I also do this to some degree while watching movies but it is mostly when reading. When I was hanging with the punks and in full costume(I loved the look),I would feel differently when I got into character.I didnt mean to do it to fool anyone,it was for my own amusement and pretty funny at times.I remeber imitating a "thug" and feeling so amused when people seemed to be afraid of me.I am normally not a mean person but I thought it amusing that they thought I was "tough",when I am really such a kitten(never been in a fight)I can tap into this characters pretty easily and rather enjoy doing it.It may sound deceptive but it is probably what kept me alive when I was homeless.

So,perhaps you are slipping into these "personas" and when you catch yourself doing it unconciously,it feels a little freaky, especially if you do it when dissociating and stressed?Just one thought.

It happened to me more when I was younger. There are two instances that really stick out in my mind, even this many years later. Very hard to describe.

I have to actually concentrate to enter someone else. It's a strain too.

I dont think you will be alone in that.I think many people get lost in playing a role that they forget is a role.I dont think aspies would be prone to this, however.Just an opinion,no science to back it up.I do know I have feared going insane and not coming back....I stopped taking LSD,because of this....it happened the last few times I took it,not fun at all.The best way for me to not get lost is to avoid contact with people for awhile...just a break, helps.

Nutbag,

Not coming back would depend on the new deal. It could be better. I do not watch movies, too impressionable. I transform at times, move from one place to another, and leave a lot behind. I could use a dose of that now. Clothes do it, I do not put on an Armani, I become one.

My lack of facial expression, general face blindness toward others, have left me with other means of getting the message across. I miss a lot, but they buy the suit speaking, so I use it. Images are powerful, towards others and ourselves. My behavior changes with a haircut.

I have heard stories of people traveling across country, stopping for a bite, seeing a sign, Wanted, Short Order Cook, taking the job, getting together with the waitress, buying a house and never mentioning their old life again.

You should avoid gang vendettas, knocking over banks, even if you are dressed for it. We are all a lot more than we know.

A lot of good data there, everyone!

Inventor during B5's run my language began to take on some aspects of Londo Molari.
