I sometimes have vocal stims. I'm most susceptible when I stress myself out while thinking silently about something stupid I did in the past. It's really hard not to shout out, especially lately.

My stims are: "SO" and "CHA."
The first one can be annoying, because it makes everyone in the room look at me as if I'm about so say something, but I have nothing to say =_= ... occasionally I make something up. "Cha" is harder to mask. lol

How about you guys?

My mother, daughter and I all have auditory processing disorders. However, only the two of them vocal stim.

It's hard to keep track of it if you've always done it.

But I do it every now and then and it's probable that I'm on the spectrum.
When I'm alone at home, I do many different things like say random sentences, repetition of words or sounds. I like to sing to myself from time to time. I especially do this when I can't sleep at night. Singing Rickroll from memory at 2am is possible.
But I don't like when it happens when I want to sleep because it annoyingly persists for a long time, even into my sleep.

In public settings I often make a deep "Hm-" mouth closed, I push it hard and short, I'm not sure if people notice it every time.
At other times when I'm in thought it's more of a "Hmmmm~" long and soft like I'm thinking, it's for vibrations and I also do it when I feel like singing in public.
Sometimes I start saying a sentence just because, no intention to actually say anything.

I growl, meow, I make a sort of whistling noise by breathing out when my teeth are together, I whistle normally too.
I also have a lot of palilalia, which is echolalia but you repeat yourself instead of someone else. I don't just repeat the word once but constantly for a few minutes, in varying volumes and voices.

I sing whenever a song comes to my mind. I meow and sometimes growl too.

I say things like "so" and "la-la". I grunt and growl when I am focused on trying to do something. (I am not aware of this latter and only know about because I've been told.) I often sing and hum and sometimes talk to myself (but I really try not to because I don't necessarily want my thoughts being audible.)

My son used to hoot all the time and say nonsense words.

 Hahaha! You had me in stitches!! Those are good ideas. They'd probably crack my room mates up too. I should try them!

I'm not sure if it's stimming... But when I have an uncomfortable thought, I sometimes repeat the last word / phrase that I was saying or thinking when that thought came. I sometimes make random noises, too.

Or you can always make it look like you have a song stuck in your head: "Cha, cha, cha!"

Sometimes, when I'm overloaded, I sing or hum. When sirens are blaring outside, I sometimes yell or scream in order overpower the sounds. It's not effective usually.

Mine is "no". I'm weird that way. I like the way it makes my throat feel. I also has echolalia and vocal tics.
