Just wondering what everyone's default energy level on here, is? Mine seems to be really low/ calm. I think when I was a child, I had very high energy levels and have been told that I bounced around a lot- which might be a 'normal' kid thing. However, as a young adult, I have very low energy levels and really get stressed out by people who are high energy/ never able to hold still for a long time. I seek calm and quiet.. And when I an around someone with a very high energy level, I can act like them but my energy/ 'gas' gets drained so quickly that I become irritable and need to be left alone. Anyone else similar?

Moderately high, I guess.
Not bouncing off walls, but high enough to want to do lots of things when I wake up and keep going for the day.
The people with the super high energy levels are medical doctors, I think.
The sustained energy required for medical interning and residency is scary to me.

I was going to say pretty variable, but it's usually very low. Like, don't get of bed unless I have to low. Other people's energy levels don't seem to influence mine much, not that I notice at least. However, if I get going on something where my attention is just constantly being called to that thing (eg: busy day at the store), I am far more regular in my energy, possibly even high. I cannot go as fast as I want to at those points in time, I am clumsy.

I too have pretty low energy level. It wasn't even high when I was a child, and I would have significantly lower stamina than my peers even then.
High leveled people are very draining for me, I get stressed by hyper people. I find people with never ending need for new input to be taxing. That might be aspie perseverance?

The only way I can act like someone with high energy at all is if I actually like them. That has only happened twice, and it drains me completely. I got annoyed and irritable when I couldn't retreat when I needed to. After dealing with them, I needed sleep. The toll isn't worth it.
I have learned to avoid such people. People with average level are more than enough for me.

I'm pretty much like you in that regards Nyxjord. I can't stand to be around energetic / hyper people for that reason (they pretty much drive me nuts). But, I am able to work hard at whatever for a long time, just at my slow and steady pace however. :D

When I'm in good health, my default energy level is moderate to high. I'm often quite hyper, both mentally and physically, but if given the option I prefer not to rush anything, so it's more of a slow release of that energy. A child I know has very high energy levels and I'm frazzled after a few hours in her company.

My physical energy level is sluggish. My mental energy tends to run at a higher level. The mismatch is what makes me feel burned out all the time.

Like Amity. When I feel good it is moderate/high. I was very energetic as a kid. Even a few years ago I had a good drive, but recently it has been knocked down. I hope to regain it.
I can be temperamental and talk hyper when nervous, but I feel stressed out by very hyper energetic people.
A bit of a contradiction.
