So here is the thing, when it comes to welfare and any other types of fundamental aid and/or assistance, there have been discussions on here and some posters have said those who need the help should not be conscientious about it. I am on board with that for the subset who genuinely need it, but for those of us on the spectrum, how do we tell who genuinely is in need of it and who is not? And, perhaps most importantly, how can we help NTs see the difference?

Whether it is welfare, disability, federal aid of other types, special accommodations in high school, college or grad school, there were inevitably be some who genuinely need it to function and contribute to their work environment and others who do not truly need it.

Maybe one way we can improve our image is by figuring out how to differentiate them and come up with a way to assist NTs in telling the different groups apart.
