Confused about meeting

I have recently just heard about AS and for the longest time I always felt like something was different.
After having spoken to somebody in a hospital, they mentioned that they thought I had AS and I was completely unaware of what that was.

After having spent considerable time reading various websites there's just one thing that I'm still confused on, who do I talk to about this? I'm in a smaller town so there's not going to be anyone local that has the ability to work with me on this, but what kind of medical professional would I need to speak with?
