I don't really have any sort of clue as to how other people would describe my personality. As kinda weird is pretty much the only thing im sure of.

Does anyone else an almost completely lacking understanding of how other people would describe you?

Weird. Not like other people. That's all I know and I only know that from what people tell me.

People tend to think I'm weird.

On the subway, I'm not well-liked.

But, once people get to know me, they tend to like me.

People have told me what they think of me and it's often total opposite I'd expect. I don't think other people see me as I see myself. I only know if someone tells me what they think.

I only know if they tell me. What people have said most often is that I'm quiet. Which to me sounds like they just don't know me and therefore really don't know what to think of me.

I don't know how others perceive me, which is probably just as well, as by their behaviour I assume it's negatively.
I was recently told however that how I see myself is seriously skewed from how I appear in others' reality.

I hope people think of me as the fluffiest of bunnies.

Probably a bloody nut-case...its a mixture of finding my strange predicaments funny, though mildly irritating at times, of course its the when they find it irritating I can take it personally and get argumentative about it. And then I hate myself because I wanted more than anything to let whatever it was go but I can't help getting worked up sometimes I mean this is a perfect depiction of how I sometimes react to things:

To the average person on the street? "messed up", "ret*d", "spastic". Stuff like that.

No.
Most of time I'm not really sure of what they think about me unless they say it somehow.

I have a suspicion that they find that there is something weird about me, but they can’t quite pinpoint it and that sort of unsettles them, or so I think…because sometimes I catch people giving me strange glances

I've been told that I'm 'an acquired taste' - i.e:, rather like KK says above, once people get to know me they quite like me, but this takes time.

Among strangers I'm generally regarded as weird.

Pretty much describes me as well. I am not good at reading other people. If I was, I guess I wouldn't be an Aspie.

I can't usually "read" people based upon facial perception.

I "read" people based upon their actions towards me--including whispering behind my back.

To use the catch all phrase for anyone outside the norm in these parts, "A little bit touched", which in fairness is an improvement on "as mad as a bag of cats". Anyone that knows me for a long time though, thinks Im "alright".
